Timber Merritt notified the Missouri State Highway Patrol of her missing three-year-old daughter Remy Elliott. Remy had wandered from her home in Qulin, a town located about 175 miles south of St. Louis, MO.
A search for the missing girl immediately began. Despite all hands on deck and the use of helicopters overhead, they had no luck finding Remy during the night.

The Search Continued…
On Friday morning, volunteers and search dogs joined in the search for Remy in a nearby cornfield. Shortly after 8 am, little âYorkie yapsâ were heard in the distance in response to the search crew.
Volunteer Makayla Hardcastle described the search to FOX4 âYou donât hear well in the corn either, so when somebody is yelling your name, I mean you hear them, but you donât know where it is coming from.â
Sure enough, Remy was found with her Yorkshire Terrier; the sweet dog never left her side!
Thankfully, except for a few mosquito bites, Remy was unharmed after her night spent in the cornfield.
Remyâs mother, plans to put up a fence to keep young Remy from wandering out of the yard again.
