As a dog waiting to be chosen by a family, every day can be scary.
Fortunately at Kitsap Humane Society, the shelter decided to make a new program in order to make the time waiting for a family more pleasant for pups!
Each Tuesday, one of the shelter dogs is taken out to the local Starbucks for a special treat. Starbucks secret menu features a “puppuccino” – looks like good coffee isn’t just for humans!
The lucky dog then gets featured at the local Starbucks as “dog of the week”.
Oh, and the dog is given a cup filled with whipped cream to make the experience fun!
Every dog has a chance for a fun outing. For those that cannot handle going to Starbucks, the special treat comes to them, and they are given special play time!
All the dogs get to enjoy a special treat.
This new program offers a way for the community to learn about the shelter dogs – while also letting the dogs enjoy some quality time away from the shelter.
